I haven't had Pillsbury Biscuits in YEARS. I mean, just pop, grease a pan, lay 'em out, bake for 8 minutes at 450 degrees, slice 'em in half, butter 'em, and enjoy. The whole tube! Hell yeah it's a shitload of calories, but it was damn tasty, and I haven't done that since I lived at my parents, lol.

I have found the best Youtube Channel EVER.

This guy records himself playing classic 45 vinyl. The sound is very warm, and he has a lot of songs I really like. Definitley subscribe worthy, as this 40+ song playlist isn't even half of what he has.

For any of my older friends, if you've listened to WABC AM before they went off the air in the early 80's, this stuff is right up your alley.

A quick site update before we get into the goodies: I have updated the following galleries:

Now, as for working hard. I took (or had someone else take) the following series of movies of me at work. This is not a typical day. In fact, today was pretty abnormal given the events featured. Save each link before you view 'em to save on my bandwidth.

I have added a few photos of work under the Paintball section, dated 2009-06-28. I am also slowly updating the gallery thumbnails so each sub-folder has a preview pic associated with it.

I also figured it's been 3 weeks since I've posted an update, so here it is!

Well, it was bound to happen. My hair, going well below my nose, needed to be hacked. In a 2 hour session involving hedging shears, a weed whacker, and my shag carpet hair, Kitty successfully tamed the beast.

So, my barber of 23 years (been going to this guy since I was 2) decided to up and retire without getting my permission, I let my hair grow until I was able to determine a course of action. It became difficult to read books as I was constantly brushing my hair out of the way. At the paintball field, I could always be found wearing a hat just to keep my hair under control.

So, while bombing around on the John Deere Gator with my hair whipping everywhere is no longer an option, it is nice to be able to see again.

I love the players that come out to our field. Everyone is safety-conscious and with our simple Barrel Covers Off, Goggles On rule, everyone can ensure they're having a safe time without slowing down the game much. I'm looking forward to you folks coming out again, this time at 9, for some all day play!

Awesome weekend for R-14 Paintball. We had a church group on Saturday that had a blast, and our first walk-on customers on Sunday. All in all we had 13 players show up Sunday, and all had a great time!

I got a lot of useful feedback from our customers, including folks who have worked at other fields and reffed games, and every little bit helps! Everything I get from all players is taken into careful consideration.

I wanna give a special thanks to Free Lance of the Delta Paintball Team. I used to be a member and left to finish school (as money was tight back then). Free Lance showed up early on Sunday morning as the first paying customer of R-14 paintball. With nobody else there, I gave him some free paint, we chronoed some markers, toured the field, worked on some equipment, and after folks started showing up, Free Lance offered up his years of experience in reffing and helped me keep the day running fairly smoothly.

I learned some great things about the lack of capacity in our reserve air tanks and our crap compressor. I learned a great deal about balancing teams to keep it fun for everyone. I especially learned that Delta Paintball is still full of honor and integrity, and a strong willingness to promote the sport in any way possible.

Major props to Free Lance!

Well, for our opening weekend, we raked in exactly $0.00 thanks to the weather! R-14 Paintball's Grand Opening was this past weekend, and unfortunately, Mother Nature decided not to cooperate with us. We had a few Army folk come by and ask about the field and our prices and lots of false promises of showing up on Sunday.

It was a light drizzle the whole weekend. Cowboy the fuck up folks.

It was so bad that the Department of Defense (DoD) Police canceled their event at the field (again) due to weather.

I for one hope I never have an emergency during bad weather on Ft. Dix!

An aside: This is where Airsoft beats Paintball. Airsofters play in all temperatures and weather conditions. We're the god damned postal service of 6mm plastic death and pretend armies.
